Survey Activity related to Vaccine Mandates and Exemptions in Assisted Living Facilities

In a January 14 Provider Alert, the Agency for Health Care Administration states they will continue to follow Florida law regarding COVID-19 vaccine mandates.  This clarification helps Florida’s Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes know what to expect in terms of survey activity – at least for the time being.

According to the Alert, Florida law requires that all employers, including health care employers, provide exemptions to a COVID-19 vaccine mandate, including exceptions for evidence of immunity, the use of personal protective equipment, and religious exemptions.

The Alert also points to the Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement exemptions.
